Notice Board:
Service Times It has been decided to revert to the traditional time for our morning service having one service at 10.30 am following the original pattern of worship. We are to continue with the “Events” on the third Sundays and introduce a Celebration Communion on the first Sunday at 6.30 pm. There will not be a second service on the other Sundays of the month. This will start at the beginning of February.
Coffee/Welcome Rota Due to the change in service times the new rotas are in the pigeon holes. Please discard your old rota and use the new rota from next Sunday 3rd February.
Mission Giving This is a list of the charities that we give out tithe to: Bible Lands, Cross Project, Dove House, Interserve, Mara, New Wine, Barnabas Fund, Tear Fund, Wycliffe, YWAM and Christians Against Poverty.
Valentines Supper February 17th in church at 6.30 pm. For those who are married an opportunity for renewal of marriage vows. To have an idea of numbers please indicate on the sheet on the notice board. A light buffet will be provided.
Hope 08 Last weekend saw the start of our Normanton Hope 08 questionnaire. On the welcome desk you will find questionnaire’s for you to take home to take part by getting friends and neighbours to fill in a questionnaire. The form will also be available to download from the website. All the questionnaire’s need to be completed by the end of January.
Deanery Open Meeting The next meeting is at 7.30 pm on Thursday 31st January at St Peter’s Church Centre, Lake Lock Road, Stanley. This meeting is open to everyone.
Open Evening for the Bishop of Pontefract’s Holy Land Pilgimage on Wednesday 13th February at 7.30 pm in Tracey Hall, Wakefield, more details on the notice board.
Women on Wednesday First meeting in the new year will be in the vicarage on 30th January. “Chocolate fountain” bring your favourite treat to dip (marshmallow, strawberry, banana etc)!
Multisports Holiday Club Gavin Budby and Natalie Staneff will be running this at Freeston Leisure Centre from Monday 11th - Friday 15th February 10.00 am - 2.00 pm for boys and girls aged 6 - 12 years, £3 per day or £10 for week. See Gavin for more details.

Women’s Conference Friday 25th-27th April. Speakers include a missionary from South Africa. Get away for fun and fellowship. Dawn has more details.
Faith Camp 08 We have run out of official booking forms, take a photocopy one and fill it in in the normal way.
Men Awake Following our trip to Bath, Men Awake will launch on Tuesday 12th February 2008 at 7.00 pm in the Black Swan pub, we have the function room, enter from the Castleford Road side of the pub.
We will be looking at, Warrior Dangerous to the Enemy and issues surrounding this. What is Men Awake you may ask, Men Awake is a fresh new initiative designed to encourage, inspire and unite Christian men. We seek to empower men to recover their true purpose, be more courageous in their battles and more faithful in their friendships.
Our aim is to help support men in our community. Open to all, bring a friend, family member or work mate. The adventure starts here.
