Thought For Today
A verse from the bible

Welcome to our Mission Web Page.

A word from Don about our Worldwide Mission Help.

"As a church we are committed to the support of mission both in the UK and overseas both in terms of finance and prayer. We set aside 10% of our total income to support them financially.

There are a number agencies that we support on a monthly basis which gives us a small overhead to support emergency situations such as the Tsunami appeal. In addition we make appeals for particular organisations throughout the year.

Speakers from the organisations come to share their experience with us to help us to get a flavour of what their life is like and what their needs are. Newsletters that we receive from individuals that we support are given to all the congregation to help us to be specific in our prayer.

As a Diocese we are twinned with Mara Diocese in Tanzania and as a church with St. John's Musoma which has become the Cathedral, and we welcomed the Vicar Mecka Ogunde for 10 days in 2004."
Meet Richard Brassington. From Wycliffe Bible Translators.

Richard works part-time for Wycliffe on a remote assignment. He is analysing a language in Burkina Faso called Bobobere, and take a couple of trips per year to the village of Tansila to collect data, then work on it in his home near York.

We write a "Round Robin" every three months to keep you updated with our work and life.
